It appears that the poor widow of flight 93 hero Todd Beamer
has turned a personal tragedy into a financial windfall.
Lisa Beamer recently purchased a newly constructed second
home for 1.99 million dollars. Hopefully JPMorgan Chase Bank
verified her income to justify making her a million dollar loan.

Todd Beamer's memorial service was held on 09/16/01 at
the Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro, New
Jersey. Todd Beamer's wife, Lisa Beamer, a grieving
mother of two and four months pregnant with her third
child, registers TODDBEAMER.ORG four days later on
09/20/01, incorporates The Todd M. Beamer Memorial
Foundation eight days later on 9/24/01 and then
registers the trademark "Let's Roll" ten days later on
9/26/01. Instead of acting like a wife and mother who
should be experiencing untold grief and loss her
behavior turns a catastrophic personal tragedy into a
cold and calculating cheap publicity stunt. But then
the U S Government's 9/11 propaganda machine needed
heroes as well as villains paraded through the media.

The organization that rallied a nation after the
September 11 terror attacks with the phrase “Let’s
Roll” is looking for a rescue of its own. Faced with
dwindling finances, the Todd M. Beamer Foundation will
make a decision about its future in the coming weeks.

William Beatty, chairman of the board of the Todd M.
Beamer Foundation, now doing business as Heroic
Choices, expects the board to make a decision by the
end of March from among three choices: continue as is,
merge with a similar organization, or shut down
entirely.

With its revenues dwindling, Princeton-based Heroic
Choices, formerly known as the Todd M. Beamer
Foundation, will decide by the end of March whether to
keep its doors open or merge with another
organization, the NonProfit Times reports.

Founded by the wife and friends of Todd Beamer, who
died in the crash of United Airlines flight 93 on
September 11, 2001, the foundation was established to
address the long-term needs of children who lost a
parent as a result of the terrorist attacks. In 2001
and 2002, it raised $3.8 million in gifts and received
$900,000 in royalty income from Lisa Beamer's book.
But the charity's most recent Form 990 shows it ended
2005 with $177,539 in net assets — down from more than
$2.7 million in 2003. According to the organization's
board chair, William Beatty, "[as with any charity
created after 9/11], the farther you get away from the
event, the more difficult it is to raise funds."

It is interesting to note that according to U S Government reports, there were never any claims made to the 9/11 victim compensation fund for 97 passengers that were reported to be aboard the four flights.
