1. 911truth.org 2007 Goals and Projects

#1 WIKI project - Building the Case - a Database of potential Witnesses and Documents for Testimony and Evidence
We've started a comprehensive listing of possible witnesses and documents for testimony and evidence in the (we hope) eventuality of a grand jury, a special prosecutor, or some kind of prosecution which would have subpoena powers. We think this will, first, be an excellent resource for helping people understand the scope and the details of a legal case, but that it can also provide prospective attorneys with a template of how the case could be pursued. For this we're using WikiMedia software, the same framework that is used in the Wikipedia. If you are interested in being an editor for this project, please email Michael Richardson at 911readingroom@gmail.com. We intend to go live with this project by the end of February -- even if it is not completely filled out.

#2 Commission Original Writing on 9/11
911truth.org has always brought its readers important essays from 9/11 researchers. This year, 911truth.org seeks to commission its own investigative journalism and research papers to generate new information on some of the more perplexing stories uncovered thus far. This effort would work in conjunction with the next new initiative.

#3 911truth.org Pamphlet Series
Each month, beginning in April, 911truth.org will publish a pamphlet with scholarly and/or investigative pieces from past and present, in an accessible format, for individual distribution. For some issues, we will solicit work on particular topics from our general readership. At the end of the year, we will seek to publish a year-end collection in book form.

#4 911truth.org Working Groups Initiative
Millions of Americans are well aware of questions surrounding 9/11, and want to become more involved in the 9/11 truth movement. We are thus organizing the 911Truth.org Working Groups Initiative in response to that desire, expressed by so many of our readers. Groups now forming, which will be posted to and announced at the site shortly, include:

Legal--Research, Representation, Networking - There are a number of legal working groups up and running, and 911truth.org liaises with some of them, but would like to improve its effort in this area.

Legislative Outreach & Lobbying

Research & Investigative Journalism / 9/11 Newswire - see item # 2 above.

Coalition-building - see item #5 below

Public Relations/Marketing - As with any valuable effort, the 9/11 truth movement must address public perceptions and broadly convey the information and need for action to the wider population and, in our case, work to counter negative perceptions generated by "debunkers" and much of the media.

Campus Outreach - College students are an important population to reach, but we are currently underserving them. If you are part of a college campus 9/11 group, (and we know there are many currently meeting), we are looking for you! Please contact us -- We would like to help you network with other campus groups, as well as discuss a potential 9/11 speakers’ tour of campuses.

Resource Development - There is a constant need for updating the information in our resources and finding new resources as they become available. 911truth.org will be revamping its resources pages online in hopes of making them more accessible and comprehensive.

Fundraising - we will undertake new fundraising efforts once we have the energy to do so again, sometime after March 2007. But please -- donate to the cause in the meantime!

International Outreach and Networking - We are making a special call to readers from outside the US to help our efforts to publicize 9/11 truth. Please contact us if you are interested in being a point of contact for 911truth.org

Grassroots Contacts Regional Facilitators - We are seeking organizers to act as points of contact for new groups that need assistance and facilitate working relationships among the contacts.

Other working groups are possible, and we expect to add groups as the year progresses. Please let us know which specific area you would like to become involved in as part of a Working Group. Contact Info@911truth.org

#5 Continue Coalition-building with Other Groups
We recognize the need to join forces with other groups working for government transparency and accountability for high crimes. We will continue and expand our efforts in this avenue. In particular, we are currently working with several groups now focusing on impeachment to push for inclusion of 9/11 crimes--criminal negligence and obstruction of justice, at least--included in their conversations about impeachable crimes, and 911Truth.org will present a workshop at the upcoming Emergency Summit to Impeach Bush for War Crimes, February 17-18, co-sponsored by 12 groups. Please notify us of any future coalition events desiring a 911Truth.org speaker.

#6 Commission A National Poll for Summer 2007
911truth.org has generated a great deal of publicity for 9/11 skepticism through the device of public polling. The two Zogby polls we've commissioned received significant press coverage and, more importantly, reveal that support for 9/11 truth is far wider than mainstream news agencies are comfortable reporting. We are planning another national poll with fresh questions for the time period between July 4 and September 11, 2007.

#7 National Conference in August -Date and Place TBA by March
Our 2006 national conference in Chicago was extraordinarily well attended and well-received. This summer we are planning a conference with a broader theme which will examine key questions, all related directly or indirectly to 9/11, that go to the heart of our current constitutional crisis.

#8 Speakers Bureau
A long overdue initiative is the creation of a 911truth.org Speakers Bureau. One of the best ways to generate interest in this important subject is to host a knowledgeable speaker for an evening's program. 911truth.org is working to secure commitments from approved speakers for its speakers bureau, which we hope to have completed by March. We'll post a frequently-updated schedule of speaking engagements for our readers.

#9 State and Local Initiatives for 9/11 Truth & Accountability
We wish to identify mechanisms for state and local efforts, and to develop and support and develop groups pressing for ballot initiatives, referendums, resolutions, non-federal involvement by elected officials, etc.

#10 Grassroots Contacts Support
The list of Grassroots Contacts has now grown to include 39 states and countries. We will continue to manage this as an autonomous, decentralized form of activism, and make more resources available to them this year--low cost items for distribution, support for local events, communication channels, such as monthly conference calls and online discussion groups, and work to meet their future needs as they arise.

2. Rabbi Michael Lerner Open To Possibility US "Actively" Promoted or "Passively" Allowed 9/11

Anyone familiar with the new collection, "9/11 and American Empire: Christians, Jews, and Muslims Speak Out" already knew that Rabbi Michael Lerner was open to the possibility of a government conspiracy to either carry out or passively allow the 9/11 attacks to occur. Now the readers of The Forward, which bills itself as "The Jewish Daily" know it, too.

3. Zbigniew Brzezinski Drops Bombshell on Senate Foreign Relations Committee

Former National Security Advisor and current "counselor and trustee" at the Center For Strategic and International Studies Zbigniew Brzezinski often speaks more plainly than his colleagues about both the true purposes and preferred means of US foreign policy. Last week, he roundly criticized the Iraq war in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and issued this warning about the likelihood of a coming conflict with Iran:

If the United States continues to be bogged down in a protracted bloody involvement in Iraq, the final destination on this downhill track is likely to be a head-on conflict with Iran and with much of the world of Islam at large. A plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran involves Iraqi failure to meet the benchmarks; followed by accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure; then by some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the U.S. blamed on Iran; culminating in a “defensive” U.S. military action against Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. This is the author of "The Grand Chessboard" making these comments, a man with National Security connections that run several decades, and a man who himself knows a thing or two about provocations [he has claimed, for instance, that he authored the 'Afghan Trap' that helped lead to the demise of the Soviet Union]. It is as close to an admission that "national security" and intelligence agencies conduct false flag attacks as we are likely to see.

The Q&A session produced more bombshell material. Here's an excerpt from the World Socialist Web Site:

Following his opening remarks, in response to questions from the senators, Brzezinski reiterated his warning of a provocation.

He called the senators’ attention to a March 27, 2006 report in the New York Times on “a private meeting between the president and Prime Minister Blair, two months before the war, based on a memorandum prepared by the British official present at this meeting.” In the article, Brzezinski said, “the president is cited as saying he is concerned that there may not be weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq, and that there must be some consideration given to finding a different basis for undertaking the action.”

He continued: “I’ll just read you what this memo allegedly says, according to the New York Times: ‘The memo states that the president and the prime minister acknowledged that no unconventional weapons had been found inside Iraq. Faced with the possibility of not finding any before the planned invasion, Mr. Bush talked about several ways to provoke a confrontation.’

“He described the several ways in which this could be done. I won’t go into that... the ways were quite sensational,at least one of them.

“If one is of the view that one is dealing with an implacable enemy that has to be removed, that course of action may under certain circumstances be appealing. I’m afraid that if this situation in Iraq continues to deteriorate, and if Iran is perceived as in some fashion involved or responsible, or a potential beneficiary, that temptation could arise.”

Brzezinski was asked afterwards whether he meant by this statement what he seemed to mean. Here's the exchange:

Q: Dr. Brzezinski, who do you think would be carrying out this possible provocation?

A: I have no idea. As I said, these things can never be predicted. It can be spontaneous.

Q: Are you suggesting there is a possibility it could originate within the US government itself?

A: I’m saying the whole situation can get out of hand and all sorts of calculations can produce a circumstance that would be very difficult to trace. (emphasis added)

4. Alternet Lets Hicks Answer 9/11 Hit Pieces

Author Sander Hicks did an admirable job in striking both the correct tone and substantive focus in his response to recent criticisms of the '9/11 Truth Movement'. Hicks describes the gist of hit pieces as follows:

When the critics focus on the wacky theories and not on careful, moderate, serious authors . . . . it's a strategy to frame the debate. It steers the argument from going after the real meat of 9/11: the history of U.S. foreign policy in strategic alliances with radical Islam.

—Dedicated activists of Vermonters for a Real 9/11Investigation have collected enough signatures to have the following article placed on the March 6, 2007 Town Meeting Day Ballot in Burlington, Vermont:

"Shall Vermont's Congressional Delegation be advised to demand a new, thorough, and truly independent forensic investigation that fully addresses the many questions surrounding the tragic events of September 11, 2001?"
