The first embedded video below shows a CNN "broadcast" from Battery Park, with the Whitehall Building in front. When looking carefully, one can see the pixels of the closeup Whitehall Building and trees locked with the farther away tower. This is proof of 2-D animation!
To give a comparison, take a look at the second clip below. Watch the foreground (the car) and background (houses). It's the same principle!!
***UPDATE!! I added a third clip below to further demonstrate 2-D animation in cartoons. Note how the stationary objects in the foreground are "locked" with the stationary objects in the background.
The Whitehall Building is located at 17 Battery Place. It is approximately half a mile from Ground Zero. See photos by Peggy Carter here for distance reference between the WTC and the Whitehall Building.

The Great Gazoo!
It's an outstanding clip to illustrate the concept. With CNN's journalistic standards, I'm almost surprised they didn't lay blame on Gazoo for the attacks.

roadrunner physics
See how the building moves from right to left to accomodate the first exploding squibs and the plane!
The video that fooled the world
Coffinman
The video that fooled the world is totally crap.
I don't see how they could possibly have done a worse job.
From webfairy's lone stand over the impossible ghostplane, to the current analyses that show the whole video to be a complete 2-d rendering of terrible quality the tide has certainly changed.
Does a plane here or there matter any more? (Well yes it does).
WE WERE SHOWN CARTOONS AS NEWS!
I hope that everyone will remember that while Webfairy was being vilified and condemned by every self-righteous guru that she was absolutely right all along.
This link is to remind you of where much of our current knowledge originated:

Can one of you video experts...
take a still of the damage at the North tower and superimpose it over the 'impact' zone from the Naudet film in a short video clip?
This picture seems to show the North tower damage zone (from tower pic on right) lined up with the Naudet 'impact', if it can be proven that this misalignment is correct, it proves once and for all that the 1st impact video is also doctored.

Whitehall Camera Angles
Okay, the photo below shows where the camera was supposedly situated. (Where was the camera's location reported btw?)

So the distance between the Whitehall and the tower was a little more than half of that from between the Whitehall and the camera.
Could someone with the ability do some kind of analysis to show how much the Whitehall should move with respect to the tower (and vice versa), taking in consideration the camera zoom?
Whitehall, bottom right
Brian, I don't believe Whitehall appears in this photograph
Whitehall borders on the Park, which is off this shot on the right.
This shot ends maybe 2 / 3 blocks south of the Towers. Whitehall is ~ 6 blocks south.
The island narrows toward the tip. Battery Park doesn't appear in this photo. And if Whitehall was there, the Park would be there.
If you want I could walk down there and name those buildings near the water. I'm going near there tonight.
mistake in my comment
I meant that the distance between the Whitehall and the tower is a little more than TWICE the distance between Whitehall and camera
Any 3-D animators out there?
Here's an article for 2-D animators on how to create a good looking scene. I think we see elements of this in the CNN Ghostplane clip.
From looking at peggy's photos and brianv's work, it looks like there should be some big trees in the foreground which would have obstructed the shot. The "camera" is down by the edge of the water, and the animator decided to reduce clutter by putting the trees in the background plane with the WTC even though the trees should be in the foreground. The foreground element is the "ghostplane" itself.
When the camera is lowered the tree should "jump up" to the top of the frame, since the camera is not pointed up at the top of the tree-- the top of the tree should obstruct the camera's vision and then be above the frame. Yet, in the ghostplane clip, the trees act like they're planted right alongside the WTC. Also, if we're zoomed in, we should have lots of stuff way out of focus that is closer than the WTC. Since this is pretending to be "amateur footage" one would think it's a camcorder with autofocus. It certainly doesn't behave that way. Hope that helps some. I wish I had a 3-D modelling package to play around with.

Fred, have a look at Maya, if you on Windoze, or Ayam if you on Linux!
