"9/11 Mysteries". I believe she did the best she could with what she had
to work with and that she has now figured out how to do it even better. I
see no basis for the kind of slams she has taken or the kind of trashing I
have received from many on this list. I think enough is enough. Enough!

Regarding the "distortions" or the many things I have allegedly "done wrong" with Rick Siegel's video footage, of no small significance was the fact that the "911 Eyewitness" video was very difficult to work with. It was unfortunately not put together in a coherent fashion, is overly long and tedious, and the narration is mechanical and frankly bizarre. The blue, unnatural color of the footage is apparently due to Rick's faulty camera settings (or so the pros tell me), in addition to which, Rick has no real footage of the South Tower falling. It is blocked by the North Tower, so when the South Tower went down, all you see in "Eyewitness" is a lot of smoke and ash. Nonetheless, I and many people feel that the content of the "Eyewitness" video is worthwhile, and even unique.
To "show" the public at a glance or in a few seconds what "Eyewitness" is all about was not an easy task, given all these problems. My own narration tells the viewer that Rick's camera's sound meter caught explosions within the towers as they went down. Then, as an illustration of the concept, the narration says: "Here is the South Tower record." Why did we show that one? Because the North Tower "record" was a graph created in video format (very long and drawn out), whereas the South Tower record was a simple list, showing time codes for the explosions. At a glance, this was easier for the viewer to comprehend than the graph. Now that we had announced the thesis (I'm talking about "Mysteries" here and our viewers), the result had to be shown -- the tower falling. HOWEVER, Rick has no decent shot of the South Tower coming down. Just smoke. What you see in "Eyewitness" when the South Tower falls is the North Tower still standing in front of it. The audience would have said, "What? Nothing happened!"
Therefore, if we were going to show the result of the thesis and had only one collapse to show (North Tower) and only one list of explosions to show (South Tower), the narration line had to be: "Then the BUILDING fell," and we showed Rick's shot of the North Tower coming down to demonstrate that after the internal explosions (which pertained to each tower), the building(s) each came down. It was the best we could do with the
limitations of the original work.
In the January 2007 edition, I figured out a slightly different way to put it. The narration is: "Here is each tower's record" and we show both the list for the South Tower and the graph of the North Tower. Because the North Tower graph video contains the audio of the collapse as well, that element delivers the conclusion or result (for and in the viewer's mind) -- that the tower(s) came down.
In summary, "Eyewitness" is neither an easy video to watch or to work with. However, it is an important piece of the 9/11 story and deserves to be promoted and circulated. Inclusion of this material in "Mysteries" was for
two reasons -- to promote Blue Star Media Group's video sales and increase its exposure and to provide the public with another effective piece of 9/11 explosion evidence.

Don't think for a second that I haven't had harsh words for Rick on the topic of relating 9/11 with making money, for I have.
I wouldn't spend $2 to buy his DVD (I have even told him so) and I wouldn't pay a penny to Sophia for hers, but at least Rick is selling HIS OWN footage, that he personally recorded.
IMHO, they are both in the wrong on the issue of 'profitting*' from 9/11.
*It can be argued that they (and various others) have 'lost' money from these endeavours, but that is most likely the result of trying to make a 'professional' video with the intent to earn money from it. Otherwise they would have just released their 'rough' videos, if spreading the information that the video contained was the true goal, as per a Creative Commons license for example.

Seems like you're stretching it quite a bit Jim.
Maybe looking for some kind of "reasonable accomodation".
But we end up losing in the end.
I question whether framing the available 9/11 evidence in the way that Sofia does it, is the most effective way to present the material ?
Is her approach the way you want to see the evidence presented ?
When I watch "9/11 Mysteries" (how I despise that title)
I come away from it with the same old "unanswered questions" meme ringing in my head. "Loose Change" comes across the same way .
It's more of that speculative - "what if ?" crap.
Some would argue that 5 years after, we are well beyond the "unanswered questions" phase of 9/11 research and investigation.
The evidence of demolition and TV fakery long ago moved beyond speculation and conjecture.
Well formed hypotheses have been substantiated sufficient to indict and arrest a number of key 9/11 perps.
We only lack the political muscle to do it.
Indeed , use of the "unanswered questions" or "unsolved mysteries" style of presentation plays right into the hands of those who seek to marginalize 9/11 evidence into "tin-foil hat" territory and "JFK"-ize the whole subject.

Watering down or corrupting the evidence with cheap sensationalism and the aura of "unsolved mysteries" only sets us back further, in my judgement.
It puts us squarely back in George Noory/Art Bell territory.
Who needs that ?
The quality and rigor (even the style) of the video presentation of evidence is crucial.
Doesn't the integrity, clarity and strength of the message matter ?
Or are we out to win the "American Idol" contest version of 9/11 truth ?

Longer term, that's going to be a bigger problem than her whopper about why she used the South Tower record and then showed the North Building collapse.

I am being tossed about on a sea of evil and exposing the frauds is harsh and dangerous. To weed out this garbage it seems that the truth of organizational independence gets brighter and brighter. But while I am only angry at immorality they are embracing it in any way possible at great embarassment. As if on purpose.

The blue sky was so bright in the video and clear that we had to remove the sound of the explosions and put in some more quiet soft sirens instead? Sick, very sick of these people.

I don't get it. Could be 'cause its the first time I've blogged. But, all the concern seems to be about the addition of sounds to the original film. What about the content? What about the statements about explosions by people that were actually there-or was that made up as well? Guys like Rodriguez, and others who stated they heard explosions? When I saw the towers fall on tv during the AM prior to going to work on 9-11 the first thing that came to my mind was that it was rigged with explosives..There is a lot of content in the two hour film. I'd like to hear explanations about the fabrication of the content, the interviews, the specialists and whatever else the bloggers think was fabricated..All I've seen is people complaining and explaining about the addition of the sound bites - and nothing else.

i hear what you're saying. and i kind of agree. but what is important here is the 80% rule. disinfo doesn't come neatly packaged in complete lies. they scrape up all the safe bits of truth, take the important stuff and contaminate it [this case] add in some info that leads us to the wrong destination, and there you have it. a confused truthseeker.
did you see in mysteries they included the 'harley davidson guy' and didn't once mention how ridiculous and staged he sounds?.
and do you not realise that a docko that examines the sights and noises of an event [like this one] has to not edit in a mix n match sense?. raw footage used to demonstrate something cannot be tampered with.
